intro to barbells
Who it’s for:
OUR INTRO TO BARBELLS PROGRAM IS THE PERFECT PLAN FOR:
Someone who wants to get started with barbells but isn’t quite sure where to begin
Someone who has previous gym experience and is looking to expand their toolbox with barbell exercises
Someone who wants to use barbells but is afraid of doing it incorrectly or injuring themself
Time and time again we hear folks say they are really interested in using barbells but they’re intimidated or afraid of doing them wrong! We totally get it, and that’s why we developed a plan that not only teaches you the main barbell lifts, but also goes into the intricate details of where to rack the bar on your back during squats, how to choose your stance for deadlifts, where to position yourself under the bar during a bench press, and more! You will also learn how to systematically increase weights and utilize concepts such as tempo training to better develop your proficiency with the barbell lifts.
IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THIS PROGRM AS WRITTEN, THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED:
Barbell and Weight Plates
Squat Rack or Rig
When you receive the program, you will have the option to make modifications to some of the accessory exercises, so if you don’t have a stability ball or TRX, you can swap those exercises out for similar movement patterns that utilize dumbbells or a cable machine instead. A barbell and interchangeable weight plates are definitely required, however, as you will not be able to benefit from this program without them!
Intro to Barbells aims to help you feel comfortable and confident when working with the barbell! We know so many people who really want to use barbells but are either intimidated or unsure of exactly how to do it, so they end up avoiding them. But barbells are such a great tool in helping to increase strength, so we wanted to provide a program where not only will you learn how to navigate barbell training, but you’ll also build strength and improve your movement quality along the way!
Our Intro to Barbells program is 12 weeks long and is made up of three 4-week cycles. This means that weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be made up of the same exercises which you will progress in either reps or weight from week to week. Once you’ve completed week four, the exercises will change up completely for the next 4-week cycle! Each cycle builds upon the last so not only are you progressing week to week, but you’re also learning new exercises and new ways to use the barbell each month!
Cost: $49 every 4 weeks for the 12 week program
